Kate Reinhard is a Policy Deputy for the Los Angeles Charter Reform Commission. She is a lifelong California resident and has resided in CD 14 the past four years while attending Occidental College. Kate holds a degree in Urban and Environmental Policy and a minor in Politics from Occidental where she worked as a research assistant for the Urban & Environmental Policy Institute. During her senior year she conducted community based research on the impacts of Title I federal funding for public schools, earning honors and distinction for her work.
Passionate about civic engagement and educational equity, her work is focused on increasing access to community services and ensuring accessible, transparent communication. Previously Kate has worked as a field organizer, an intern with her local Congressional office in CA-16, and with research & advocacy organizations across the state. She is excited to be supporting the Commission’s important charter review process.
