Carla Micaela Fuentes is a lifelong Angeleno who grew up in San Pedro and now resides in North Hollywood. She currently serves as the Social Innovation Manager at the Goldhirsh Foundation, where she supports LA2050, an initiative that funds community-driven solutions to make Los Angeles a better place to live for all. Her work centers on equity in grantmaking, civic engagement, and building stronger partnerships between philanthropy and grassroots organizations.
Passionate about public service and local democracy, Carla is actively involved in civic and political life across the city. She serves on the boards of the League of Women Voters of Greater Los Angeles and LA Forward, and holds leadership roles with local clubs, issue-based coalitions, and her Neighborhood Council. She is particularly focused on engaging young people and underrepresented communities in decision-making.
Fuentes holds a degree in Political Science with an emphasis on public policy from California State University, Northridge. In all of her work, she is guided by the belief that government should be transparent, accountable, and rooted in community.
