Briana Scott is a Policy Deputy for the Los Angeles Charter Reform Commission. A lifelong Californian, she holds a Masters of Public Policy from UC San Diego, where she focused on Inequality and Social Policy. Briana also earned dual bachelor's degrees in Political Science and African American Studies from UC Davis. Her work is centered in advancing equity, transparency, and community engagement in local government.
Before joining the Commission, Briana worked in policy research and management with the San Diego County Taxpayers Association, where she focused on delivery, oversight, and accountability of public utility services. She has also collaborated with advocacy coalitions on statewide child support reform and community resource access. Passionate about inclusive policymaking and civic participation, Briana is excited to support the Commission's charter reform efforts.
